But GM has not forgotten what its American consumers like, and today, ahead of their on-sale debut early next year, Chevrolet revealed the brand new 2015 Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs. The all-new models deliver better fuel economy through Ecotec engines, more modern design and improved refinement.
The design of both models is akin to that of their pickup cousin and features a prominent headlight design. Both SUVs have an in-house design which doesn't have a connection to what other manufacturers are offering right now.
The two big SUVs have a similar cabin architecture which GM is very proud of and naturally says is built using higher quality materials. As you can see from the photos below, the second and third row seats fold completely flat creating a huge loading area, perfect for when you're going camping.
Under the long hood, both SUVs come with the new 5.3-liter Ecotec3 V8 engine first fitted to the Silvearado. It's rated at 355-hp and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) and available only with a six-speed automatic.
