Kawasaki is bringing their all-new liter-class streetfighter Z1000 "Sugomi" to India, and together with the new Ninja 1000 machine, it aims to complete the top-range line-up the Akashi house has prepared for 2014.
The bikes will be brought in India as a Completely Built Units (CBU), and given their displacement, the import duties are rather high. The Z1000 and the Ninja 1000 will first be available at the Kawasaki dealer in Pune and through a new dealership in Delhi, with an ex-showroom price around the $20,200 (€14,775).
Both bikes are based on the same platform, with the Ninja 1000 being the faired version and sharing the 142 hp engine and other Kawasaki technologies, such as the dual-mode power deployment and the KTRC 3-mode traction control.
Wonder how will the Indian motorcycle market fare in 2014, with all the main manufacturers bringing their top-drawer bikes to India...
