Callaway Cars is developing a supercharged version of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Connecticut-based GM specialist revealed earlier this week.
“Last week, we were excited to share the fact we are the FIRST company to SuperCharge the new Direct Injected Engines from General Motors, and have an advanced start on our Callaway C7 which is coming soon...,” the company announced via CorvetteForum.com.
The guys over at Callaway Cars also posted a teaser photo of the supercharged Corvette, which shows the vehicles new hood, but no other details such as power, availability or pricing have been revealed. However, the supercharged Stingray should sports at least 600 HP.
The 2014 Corvette is not the only GM to gain a supercharged mill from Callaway. The Connecticut specialist is also working on supercharged versions of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks. In addition, Callaway is also in charge with the development of the next FIA-compliant Corvette GT3-class race cars.
