Highlights of the new model include a host of electronic features, such as an updated and innovative GPS navigation system that comes with user-friendly programmability, which is accessible online, for sharing favorite ride routes with other riders.
The Gold Wing now also incorporates a built-in MP3/iPod interface for a new SRS CS Auto technology surround-sound system that creates a premium listening experience. The 2012 Gold Wing also brings: upgraded styling, increased luggage capacity, greater wind and weather protection, revised suspension settings for enhanced ride compliance and unparalleled comfort for both rider and passenger.
In addition, packages for Navigation, ABS and airbag add to the Gold Wing’s reputation as the most celebrated touring machine in motorcycle history. The bike will come available in four different paint schemes: Pearl White, Candy Red, Ultra Blue Metallic, and Black.
Joining the 2012 Gold Wing is the 2012 FourTrax Foreman 4x4.
“This pair of 2012 new-model releases really illustrates the great diversity we have in styles of machinery for Honda customers,” said Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino. “Both the Gold Wing and Foreman serve as the newest extensions of incredibly popular models that have built up large and loyal fan bases in their respective fields over the years. The Gold Wing now expands its reputation as the premier touring motorcycle in the world, while the Foreman is the newest iteration in a full line of machines built to work—but are also ready to lead the way to good times when a day off comes around."

I am disappointed. I ride a 2005 Wing and was looking to trade up the the latest iteration of the Gold Wing, but only if there were significant changes that would make it worth while. I was expecting a 2000cc engine, an on-the-fly electric-adjustable wind screen, beefier suspension and a much needed 6th gear. And can we please eliminate the tire-cupping issue? And how about placing the valve stems on the right hand, or high side of the wheels for easier access to inflate the tires? And the two-toned paint job? Ugly! I think I'll pass.

I really wanted to buy a 2012 GW this year but it's just too ugly. As a prior GW owner I expected more from Honda, much more. The three-tone colors are stupid and cheap as are the overall design of the bike. I'm taking the $30,000 something thousand and shopping for another bike. How is a telephone not integrated? Bluetooth? $1000.00 to add a CB radio, that's ok but have it work with a cell phone. Any why is the 2012 Goldwing so ugly? What market were they after? Go into a Harley showroom, the bikes are beautiful. Honda really screwed up here and is losong yet another generation of GW owners.
