In case you’ve missed the recent Dubai Police Fleet buzz, their exotic lineup of cruisers and interceptors was enriched by a couple of AMG-prepped Mercedes-Benz cars, an Audi R8 and a Nissan GT-R earlier this month. And we bet their crazy supercar fleet continues to grow as we speak. Because... reasons.
The same “because we can” reason probably prompted the Dubai Fire Brigade to order a brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray to replace their “outdated” sixth-generation Chevy Corvette. The new fast-response vehicle was spotted at the 2013 Dubai Air Show along with some of the Dubai Police supercars. That settles it, all they need now is a Bugatti Veyron ambulance... We’d better scratch that actually, they might have one already.
As a brief reminder, the 2014 Corvette Stingray packs a 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers up to 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Probably enough to start a fire rather than help extinguish it.
