W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Pretty Much Uncovered [Photo Gallery]
We say this because our restless spy photographers caught a few pre-production prototypes with their camo almost completely removed, the only parts of the car still covered with a pair of see-through white sheets being the front and the rear.
In other words, Mercedes-Benz no longer cares if the model's design gets leaked at this point because the W205 C-Class is almost ready to be revealed anyway. It most definitely won't be at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show, with the Stuttgart manufacturer probably deciding to launch the car in-between auto shows, like the W222 S-Class.
Speaking of the Sonderklasse, it appears to be that the C-Class will be a shrunken version of it when it comes to exterior design, with much of its major exterior styling elements being shared by the two models.
The compact sedan will slightly increase in size to offer a better interior space, while also borrowing some of the state-of-the-art technologies introduced by the new S-Class. Engine wise, the lineup will start from two gasoline and diesel engines, each with 1.6 liters of displacement, and end with the C 63 AMG, which will feature a 4-liter twin-turbo V8. In other news, you can say goodbye to normally aspirated engines for good because the W205 C-Class will only offer turbocharged ones.
