The Lexus RX model, as it’s known in America and Europe today, has its roots shared with the Toyota Harrier available for the Japanese market. Basically, its the same vehicle, except for the badging an some minor styling details.
However, Toyota Japan has recently revealed a few pictures with the upcoming Harrier, scheduled to debut this winter, giving us a hint at how the new Lexus RX will probably look.
Design wise, the next Harrier has a more “stretched” fascia, with the front grille’s lines continued in the slim headlights that are wrapping around the corner above the wheel arch. A treatment which has been applied to the rear end as well. The profile got redesigned too, featuring a subtle character line and a reworked window arrangement.
There are no informations on the interior or powertrains, but judging on the badge at the rear, it’s a hybrid, probably having an evolution of the same 3.5-liter V6 hybrid powertrain from under the current RX’s hood.
Now just imagine it with a big spindle grille up front and those sexy checkmark LED daylight running lights and there you have it - the 2014 Lexus RX.
