If you said “crossover” back in the the 70’s, you were simply referring to a song that made its way to two or more record charts with different musical tastes. But then came the French Matra-Simca Rancho in 1977 and introduced the term in the automobile industry.
Now, every automaker has a crossover vehicle in its lineup and one of the best in the class is the Lexus RX, which got updated for 2013.

The 2013 Lexus RX 350 base model has a price tag of $39,660 (€29,754) and it is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can put out 270 horsepower that only goes to the front wheels. For the all-wheel-drive setup you’ll have to add $1,400 (€1,050) more out of your pocket.

Standard features include an nine-speaker Premium Sound System with CD auto-player, Bluetooth/USB/iPod connectivity and Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL), electroluminiscent instrumentation, SmartAccess with push-button Start/Stop, LCD infotainment system, HomeLink system, cruise control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, wood and leather trimming, auto-dimming rear view mirror and a ton more features to spoil you in every way.

The new Lexus RX got reviewed recently by Autoweek and you can see what they’re opinion on this luxury crossover right here.
