LAMBORGHINI Gallardo LP560-4 Review

Despite the magnificent show that the Gallardo puts on, you can feel the age of car. There was no point for Lamborghini to try and cover this up, so instead they refreshed the model by boosting its most obvious asset, its appearance. The junior Lamborghini is now even more aggressive and we have to admit that it makes full visual sense when accompanying the Aventador on the showroom floor.

The best part of the Lamborghini Gallardo is its insanity. The way in which the supercar surges forward with a touch of madness in its exhaust is simply phenomenal. There are faster supercars in this segment, but none of them offers you the lunacy of the Gallardo.

We were also spoilt by the handling , as the Gallardo rewards your every performance intention with pleasing obedience. Manhandle it into a tight corner and it will listen to your every command.

Lamborghini's Gallardo wants you all to itself. It couldn't stand the idea that you're turning to some cheap metal when you're in a hooning mood, so it can also serve as a skid play car. If you like to spend your money on rear tires, the supercar has nothing against this.

When it comes to the other end of the driving scale, everyday use, The Gallardo is not as civilized as a Ferrari 458. However, the bull definitely tops the horse when it comes to offering driver engagement during normal driving.

The worst part of the Lamborghini Gallardo is its suspension. The lack of adaptive dampers means that both ride and handling have to suffer, even though the Gallardo offers an excellent compromise between the two.

However, when you're talking about a MSRP of $202,000, you don't want to hear the word "compromise. As for the European pricing, this starts at EUR145,000 (VAT not included).

And there's another drawback that we managed to remember despite the Gallardo's efforts to wash our brains with tingling sensations. We are talking about the cramped interior. The idea of having a monster of an engine inside such a little car looses its shine when you can't find enough space no matter how much you push the seat back.

People love the Lamborghini Gallardo. That's why it has become the best-selling model in the history of the company. For the very same reason, some slap a twin-turbo to its engine, double its power and use it to drag race motorcycles. Others simply rely on it to travel from one cocktail to another, but they still adore it. The Gallardo is no stranger to flaws, but this is a supercar that ticks what we see as the Number One box: making you happy at the end of the day.
