Zero Motorcycles Arrives to Mexico

Electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles is gaining further worldwide popularity, with the company now announcing it has expanded to Mexico by signing Dofesa Ventura as its official distributor on the local market. The new Zero S and DS models are now available for demo rides and additional models are expected to arrive later this year.

This way, the North American distributorship network is complete, with Zero’s new distribution partner in Mexico joining the brand’s Canadian network of dealers directed through National Motorsports of Montreal and includes Ames Motorsports in Edmonton, Motosport Newman in Montreal and All Season Motorsports in Calgary.

“Zero Motorcycles has experienced exceptional growth throughout Europe, and now we are pleased to be expanding our sales and distribution channels in North America with our neighbors in Mexico to continue the enhancement of Zero’s international reach,”
said John Lloyd, VP World Wide Sales for Zero Motorcycles.

“It has become increasingly important in this market to deliver an unparalleled experience for those who are interested in affordable, high-performance, two-wheeled transportation and, with Dofesa Aventura, we are perfectly poised to support this development and demand,” added Lloyd.

The 2010 Zero model line upgrades include the Z-Force Air Induction System on the S and DS models. The company has also introduced a new throttle technology that modulates the increased power to provide riders with exacting control over the acceleration. Also, all 2010 motorcycles are powered using Z-Force power pack technology.

Zero also revealed recently it plans to open a new motorcycle manufacturing facility that will more than double the company’s current production capacity. The facility will be built alongside the company’s headquarters in Santa Cruz County.
