Mercedes-Benz Accessories is now offering the AMG GT coupe model cars, but we’re not sure wether to meet such news with joy or sadness. I mean, isn’t it sad for a petrolhead to look at model car on his desk, knowing he might never be able to own the real thing?
Well, we have no doubt that some will settle for a model car at any given time as soon as they realized the full-size model is a goal too far from reach, at least for the moment. However, we’re willing to let the inner child out as often as possible so owning a Mercedes-AMG GT small-sized replica is always a good idea in that respect.
Two small models will be offered initially by Mercedes-Benz, in size 1:43 and 1:18. Both have been designed in close cooperation with Norev and are meant to replicate the original-sized GT's design to the detail.
That means the 1:43 model cars are handcrafted from 42 parts, while the 1:18 ones are made of 101 parts. But if these two alternatives are not enough for your royal self-esteem, hear this out: Mercedes will offer a limited-edition 1:12 model GT but our best piece of advice is to move quick, as only 1,000 units will be produced.

The 1:43 model costs 34.90 euro ($38), while the 1:18 replica will remove 79.90 euro ($87) from wallets or bank accounts. Now, sit down before you read this: the 1:12 replica will cost 249.90 euro ($272) but it has the Nappa Leather Exclusive white-and-black interior. Still too expensive if you ask us.
