What happens if you want to have a Toyota GT 86 or Scion FR-S with a lot more power. There's little hope for the naturally aspirated 2-liter boxer, so you need an engine swap.
So far, we've seen people stuff the Lexus LFA engine and even Chevy V8s under the bonnet. But this particular creation stuck with in-house ingredients. Under its black hood is the famous 2JZ engine, probably the most potent motorsport component ever made by Toyota.

It's been put together by a shop from the Emirates called Ekanoo Racing and has been racing since 2013. However, a new video has ensured the 2JZ GT 86 returns under the spotlight. . Besides the new engine, it comes with a whole host of custom parts, including custom heads and cams, an intercooler, new turbo, a hyper tune intake, six-speed box from a Supra

It's a drag race clip where the super-powered GT 86 sets a blistering quarter-mile time in the 9-second range. The trap speed is 256 km/h (158 mph), which means this is a seriously fast car.

There are other 2JZ-powered Toyota GT 86 models out there. In fact, Ekanoo has another one that shoots flames through the hood. However, this one is street-legal. With number plates and road tires, this thing is ideal for smoking cocky Ferrari 458 and Lamborghini Huracan owners up and down the Dubai strip.

Since Subaru takes care of all the fabrication at its FHI factory in the heart of Japan, you could say that this is a Subaru BRZ with a 2JZ. That's kind of what most people want.
