It's been 2 years since the F10 M5 was launched and a lot of things have been said about the first turbocharged M5 ever to be released by BMW. Some people love it whilst some still dream of the naturally aspirated V10 on the E60.
This year marks the arrival of the replacement model, the LCI M5. The new car is slightly redesigned and can be fitted with an amazing new set of features that when combined make up the so-called "Competition Package".
We wanted to say goodbye to the original F10 M5 and what better way to do so than with a video of the Stig driving it furiously around the Top Gear track? As the biturbo 4.4-liter engine under the bonnet produces 560 HP and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque, tearing through a set of tires was easy enough, in typical Stig fashion.
This particular video was shot when the F10 M5 was launched and Top Gear did a special on it. Even though 2 years passed from that day, the amazing level of performance coming out of the Bimmer is still unbelievable. Enjoy!
