In the usual, traditional way BMW has been getting us used to, the new X6 also got the treatment all recent new models before it did. After the company took the virtual veils off the new Sport Activity Coupe, they kicked-off a new marketing campaign to make it more popular than ever.
In this regard they invited a familiar face to make the introductions, Chris Brow, the same guy that introduced a variety of new models to Youtube in the past.

Going over the main new features of the car, the design and the performance of the 2015 model, Chris makes sure to compare the F16 to the outgoing model. In case you don’t want to read long press releases, this 7 minute video is all you need to understand all there is to know about the second iteration of the X6.

Considering the name of the car and its legacy, the new model couldn’t be anything else but a 4-door coupe on an SUV platform. The sloping roofline was kept and you can’t mistake the car in the video for anything else but a SAC. Short overhangs also help out with the traditional BMW aggressive look we’ve come to embrace.

Inside, luxury is the main word and the revised design points it out even better than before. If we’re to believe Chris, even tall people of up to 6’1” (185 cm) would fit comfortably in the back of this car, even though in the previous model they’d have to struggle on longer journeys.

Despite the greenhouse obstructing your field of vision when parking, the auxiliary systems like parking sensors and rearview cameras will help you out, making the new X6 an ok car for urban environments.

The biggest changes though, come in the shape of new features included in the iDrive system. Features like Concierge services, Active Traffic Jam Assistant and the touch sensitive controller really make a difference. However, we’ll let Chris explain them in full.
