As the GT 86 quickly became a lifestyle for fans, Toyota Australia in collaboration with NSW 86/BRZ Club made possible for Australia’s largest gathering of Toyota 86s to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the vehicle going on sale there.
August 10th 2013 was the day 272 Toyota GT 86 and AE 86 gathered in one single place in Australia. Toyota 86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, which attended the celebration event, said that it was a record number outside Japan for the one-year-old nameplate.
