The guys from TFLCar are not the most famous people in the automotive world but they do some interesting tests. The main attraction in their videos is the fact that they test the cars at a high altitude.

Testing around Colorado is definitely a challenge. That's because the area where they're driving is at around 1 mile above sea level (1600 m) and that could be problematic for some cars because of the lack of oxygen in the air.

However, BMW is not impressed. Earlier this year, they even did a test with a GT-R to see which car is faster to 60 mph (96 km/h). Unfortunately it went to the Nissan, but by a close margin and because they didn't use launch control.

This week, they got the M6 back and decided to test it with the Launch Control on. The result? Well, even though everyone expected it to be slower than the official time of 4.2 seconds, the Bimmer amazed us all, stopping the clock at no more than 3.85 seconds.

That means that is almost as fast as the 2010 Bentley Continental GT Supersports with its 6-liter W12 engine and a much bigger price tag, at a mile above sea level. Unfortunately for us, the guys do say the car they had was a pre-production model but we can't help but wonder how exactly did that affect performance. Shouldn't've made the M6 slower?
