Watch a Hardcore Scion xB Drag Racing

This is not your regular Scion xB from the suburbs of your hometown. In fact, the only things that reminds of the original car is the outer shell and probably the engine, though it was completely rebuilt.
Yep, it’s a dragster. A front-wheel-drive one in fact, and despite this inconvenient and its half V8 engine placed in the wrong way under the bonnet, it manages to achieve a 6 seconds 1/8 mile run on the Irwindale drag strip. Of course, this short time couldn’t be reached if it wasn’t built on a custom tubular frame and a lightweight composite material.

Although it looks a bit outlandish in a drag race, bearing a roll bar and beefy tires up front, it is funny to see it playing around classic American muscle cars in their natural habitat.
