Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and all that. A 20-year-old woman from Washington D.C. proved The Bard was right, by flying into a road rage and smashing a Greyhound bus with a baseball bat and a carjack, before running over its driver – 3 separate times.
The incident occurred last week, with the police making the video public late on Friday, after the woman was identified and apprehended. She is Mariana Silver and she is 20 years old. She is also a bit on the fiery side, to say the least.
According to The Independent, which confirmed it with the police, the incident started when Silver tried to illegally pass the Greyhound bus and scraped the side of her car on it. She pulled her Audi A8 in front of the bus and stepped out, took out a baseball bat from the trunk and went HAM on the windshield of the bus.
Meanwhile, the bus driver stepped out too and was trying to call the police. Silver placed the bat back into her car and took out a carjack instead. She used it to smash the bus’ side window and mirror. This is when one of the passengers started filming.
Perhaps the most chilling aspect of the video, aside from the violence of the attack, is how calm Silver appears. Once she’s done, she returns to her car and tries to leave – but finds she can’t because the bus driver is blocking her way. So she rams him with her car, which prompts several male passengers to get out and step in for him.
Not that it has any effect on Silver. She hits the man 2 more times with her car, the third one being the most brutal as it flings him into the intersection, and she speeds off. Luckily, the bus driver received only minor injuries: at the end of the video, he’s still on the phone, actually smiling. “She was gonna get away with it,” he tells another man asking him why he didn’t move from her path.
Police confirm for the publication that Silver was caught and has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The driver was actually able to finish his shift after the attack.
