What could be more interesting than the most mainstream German car tuned by a company you've probably never heard of before?
Caught in the middle of the biggest market, family compacts, the seventh version of the Golf has tried to offer what everybody wants in one package. That uniformity is exactly what Ingo Noak Tuning tried to strip away.
The company from Northern Germany has fitted R-look front and rear aprons, lids for the headlights, side skirts and even a double exhaust system similar to the one on the R32, you know the legendary 3.2-liter Golf of yesteryear.
The body kit also bundles in a roof spoiler and a wheel and tire package consisting of the Schmidt XS5 alloy wheels painted in black. They measure 9x20 inches and are wrapped in 235/30R20 rubber. Ingo Noak also opted for a KW Variant 1 Inox-Line Coilover suspension kit.
Because the sports exhaust was made from titanium, we knew engine mods had also been carried out from the first moment we saw the car and that is indeed true. An upgrade "chip" has been installed on the 1.4-liter TSI, lifting output from 140 hp and 250 Nm to 179 hp and 315 Nm.
Our say: Ditch the 90s wheels and it's a winner!
