As many of you know, Von Dutch (Kenny Howard), known for his pinstriping skills and the "Flying Eyeball" logo, has been a major influence in the customizing of vehicles from the 1950s to today. Now, one of his projects, a custom 1959 Moto Guzzi Falcone motorcycle, is for sale on eBay.

Richard H. Cormany bought the bike for no more than $574 back in 1961 and after a little riding decided to begin customizing it, spending close to 5000 hours on the process over a five-year period.

Cormany then contracted Von Dutch for the black paint with gold pinstripes and for creating molds for the headlight nacelle and front fender. Von Dutch also machine-turned the flywheel. The frame was cadmium plated.

The current seller has had the bike from the mid 90’s and it has resided in his private collection ever since. The Von Dutch Falcone is offered for sale for the first time in 50 years, and is presented in its original unrestored condition.

“Cormany was invited to enter his custom Moto Guzzi Falcone into the 1971 Cycle World Show, and walked away with the Best Street Custom award. In the August issue, Cycle World Magazine featured a two page photographic spread on the bike and wrote, Dick Cormany won the street-legal custom category with his 1959 Moto Guzzi Falcone, which is no surprise,”
the ad on eBay reads.

“The bike is strikingly original, departing from the main stream of custom art to combine the complexity of the classic Guzzi 500cc single-cylinder engine and suspension components with a sleek, flowing fiberglass shell,” it adds.

Bidding for the custom Falcone ends January 23rd. The current bid rests at US$11,211. You can place your bids by following this link.
