‘Volvo - The Game’ Competition Continues

As you know, any free product increases user interest. Three weeks after its launching, ‘Volvo - The Game’ was downloaded by 220,000 people, of which nearly 10,000 people entered the game’s first competition, which was run on the Gothenburg Eco Drive Arena in Sweden.

When the competition ended, on June 9, the 1st prize winner was a German driver who had been running 2,552 laps wit the Volvo S60 Concept.

Prizes for the ‘Volvo - The Game’ competition are as follows:

  • 1st Prize - a set of Pirelli 18" tyres
  • 2nd Prize - a large printed image of the S60 Concept
  • 3d Prize - games fromSimBin
  • 4th Prize - games from Gamersgate, with a 50,000 ‘Blue Coins’ loaded account
  • 5th Prize - printed image of the S60 Concept
  • 6th to 10th Prize - collectable scale models of the S60 concept from Volvo Merchandise

The second racing game competition, running on Chayka race track in Kiev, Ukraine, started on June 10 and will continue until June 24. According to Volvo, the Chayka track takes a player approximately one minute longer than one lap on the Gothenburg Eco Drive Arena.

Volvo - The Game comes with three difficulty levels and features six different cars which can be handled through two tracks. The game offers a choice of skill levels: "novice" with all the driver assistance technology activated such as ABS brakes, "semi-pro", and finally "pro" where there is no assistance whatsoever.

The game, which has been developed together with SimBin Studios is now available in its English version for free download at www.volvocars.com/game. The free racing game is also available in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish at www.volvocars.com/intl.
