Volvo wants to keep things going and plans on selling 100,000 cars a year in the United States. Well, this might be their plan but that doesn’t mean it will work out smoothly as the company hasn’t managed to sell this many cars in the US since 2007.
Still, the guys from Volvo are pretty optimistic and actually believe that with their new Drive-E engine family and the SPA modular platform plus the fresh new products that will be arriving in the coming years their sales could grow considerably.

Among them, you’ll find the US V60 wagon, the S60 Sedan, the XC60 crossover and the recently spied XC90. Of course these are just a few example, more vehicles, especially replacements will soon follow.

All in all, the company needs to have about 60 percent growth in order to sell more than the 61,233 units Volvo managed to sell in 2013. We must say this is quite difficult but necessary as according to Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson, reaching this goal would ensure Volvo’s US dealer the network is profitable.
