Volvo Expanding Its UK Dealer Network

As Volvo is waiting to be officially transferred under Geely’s arm, the company is gearing up for the new market opportunities that will come in the future. For example, the carmaker’s UK arm wants to expand its dealer network to 110 locations by the end of the current year.

Today, two new UK dealers have been appointed, as part of this plan: Poole-based Snows Motors Group and North City from Chigwell have now become Volvo official retailers.

The new Poole dealer will change its name into “Kings”, thus becoming the fifth Kings Volvo location. It manages new and used car sales and also covers warranty and servicing operations.

"We are delighted to be expanding our Volvo operation into Poole. This is an exciting time for Kings Volvo and highlights our long-term strategy and commitment to provide quality franchised car dealerships across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset," said Neil McCue, Franchise Manager for Kings Volvo.

North City operates in Chigwell, Essex and has been in the business for 25 years, so Volvo will benefit from the dealer’s experience on the market.

"Volvo offers a comprehensive range of aspirational, economical lifestyle vehicles which, combined with our strong commitment to customer service will provide an excellent all round experience for our customers," said Karen Smith, North City’s Dealer Principal.

"The addition of these two businesses underlines the quality of dealers that are both joining the Volvo franchise and expanding with us. We are excited about them representing the Volvo brand with energy and enthusiasm in their local markets,” said Philip Hand, Network Development Manager for Volvo Car UK Limited.
