Swedish automaker Volvo is set to release four all-new models starting from 2014, using its new Scaleable Platform Architecture.
Besides working on updating its XC90, S80, and V80 models, Volvo is also planning a new shorter wheelbase coupe, which could be released under the C80 moniker.

All new Scaleable Platform Architecture models will also receive Volvo's new VCA four-cylinder engines, both gasoline and diesel, with power ranging from 140 to 280 HP for petrol and 120 to 230 HP respectively for diesel. V6 and V8 powerplants are will not be available in the future, said Volvo

The engines will be linked to two manual transmission, which we don't know anything about yet, or an eight-speed automatic. There's also a hybrid transmission in stock, but only for the all-wheel drive package.

The S80 and V80 models are expected to arrive in 2015.
