The following months will witness big corporate changes for German manufacturer Volkswagen. The company has named new sales directors for its branches in China, Australia, North America and South America.
For the Chinese market, Volkswagen has appointed Kevin Rose to take charge of the sales, starting July 1. Rose was formerly brand sales manager in North America and he will be replaced there by Jutta Dierks, currently in charge of the group's sales in Australia. He will be replaced, in turn, by Anke Kockler.
Rose headed international sales in Wolfsburg and was in charge of projects in China and North America. He was also responsible for Audi sales in the United Kingdom and has been the Volkswagen brand’s executive director for sales in North and South America since 2008.
His replacement, Jutta Dierks was finance director at the Group importer in the Czech Republic, vice president of sales and marketing at FAW-Volkswagen in China and director of sales Northern Germany for the Volkswagen brand. She has been appointed managing director of Volkswagen Group Australia in 2005.
Anke Kockler has held the post of director of sales Northern Germany for the Volkswagen brand since 2005. Kockler went up the corporate ladder after occupying various senior management posts such as head of sales planning and sales promotion for the Volkswagen brand in Germany as well as coordinating sales activities for the Spanish market.
As you can see, the changes made by Volkswagen are not necessarily replacements, but merely the rotation of personnel. The Volkswagen group has not yet announced sales figures for May, but in the first quarter of 2009 sales revenue declined by 11.2 percent to €24.0 billion due to volume-related factors.
