Volkswagen Invites You to Play Darts with Champions

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’s UK arm promises to offer a top level of entertainment at the upcoming Commercial Vehicle Show, by allowing attenders to play darts with two of its latest brand ambassadors. However, don’t imagine that it will be easy for you to win, as you’ll have to compete against two international darts champions, James ‘The Machine’ Wade and Mark ‘The Spider’ Webster.

The event even has a name: “Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles 9 Dart Challenge”. There will be multiple competitions which will take place each day across the loadspace of a VW Crafter dropside, with the dartboard being located on the vehicle’s bulkhead and the player’s toe line by the tailgate.

To recreate the atmosphere of a championship darts match, a professional darts referee will be on hand, and for the first two days of the show, Sky Sports’ John McDonald will be the official host and caller,” stated the press release.

On the last day of the show, two other celebrity darts players will be attending and playing the winners of that day’s competitions. They are Arron Monk, the 2011 Under 21 World Champion and Australian Paul ‘The Asset’ Nicholson.

The Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles stand will also display the new Amarok pick-up, as well as the latest incarnation of the Caddy Racer, two vehicles that are expected to draw a lot of attention. The Commercial Vehicle Show is scheduled to take part between April 12 and 14 at the NEC, Birmingham.
