The Volkswagen Golf R has just received a new tuning present, with the gift coming from the US, where AWE Tuning has developed a carbon cold air intake for the hot hatch.
The turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine gets a carbon fiber box that promises to only feed the cylinders with fresh air. As for the benefits, AWE Tuning promises “impressive mid-range power gains”. When it comes to the numbers, the company brags it can offer an extra 25 hp and 20 lb-ft (27 Nm).
