We first saw the all-new BMW M4 CS earlier in the week, although it was in the form of static shots. This time, we have the video to go with it, which shows the upcoming hot Bimmer doing a few rounds at the Nurburgring.
Set to slot between the Competition and CSL versions of the M4 Coupe, the upcoming CS will share many components with the eponymous M3. Therefore, you can consider it a two-door variant of the M3 CS, featuring the same firepower and other components.

What you're probably mostly curious about is the engine, and it is expected to retain the familiar straight-six. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged mill is identically powerful on the M4 CSL and on the M3 CS, steaming out 543 horsepower (550 ps/405 kW). As a result, we can expect the M4 CS to retain this output.

While the hot version of the sports sedan mentioned above features an all-wheel drive system, the M4 CSL is pure rear-wheel drive for weight-saving purposes. And since the M4 CS won't be that extreme, it will likely make use of the rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive, too. This will allow it to tackle corners faster and will also give it that much-deserved weather-proof vibe.

As far as the exterior is concerned, you can expect it to get the aero bits of the M3 CS. Thus, it will feature identical front and rear ends, to some extent, including the fat apron, the rear diffuser, and the small spoiler added to the trunk. It is worth mentioning that the scooped tester had the same wheels as the M3 CS and M4 CSL, likely backed up by beefy brakes.

Inside, it should mirror the looks of the M3 CS. We expect it to get the same touch of red and the usual carbon fiber trim, as well as a mix of suede and leather upholstery. The front seats will be as sporty as expected, and the infotainment screen and digital gauges will feature some additional goodies of their own on top of the normal Competition, which enjoys 503 hp (510 ps/375 kW) from a lesser version of the same engine.

Overall, the BMW M4 CS will improve the driving dynamics of the regular M4s and likely won't be as light as the CSL. But we will find out more when the time comes. It has been reported by none other than BMW M's chief, Franciscus van Meel, that the M4 CS is due next summer. Thus, it should be a 2025 model by the time we get a taste of it, and it will be more expensive than the current M4 Competition xDrive Coupe, which starts at $86,300. For reference, the M3 CS kicks off at over $120,000.
