Vettel Happy with Ferrari Team Tactics Affair

Some drivers in the paddock are kinda frustrated with how Fernando Alonso won the German Grand Prix last weekend – both McLaren drivers fumed at Ferrari's tactics in recent days – while others are quite happy with the situation. Despite the fact that the 2-time world champion used this opportunity to reenter the title fight in 2010, rival Sebastian Vettel is pleased that the media will leave the Red Bull squad alone this week, prior to the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Following the incidents in Turkey and, most recently, in Great Britain, a lot of ink has been spilled over the tense atmosphere within the Milton Keynes based team. Now that Ferrari are in the spotlight, Vettel believes his team has more time to focus on the race at the Hungaroring and figuring out how they can return to winning.

It's quite a comedy, as now people have something else to write and talk about. It will be a quiet week for us until Hungary which is good. We can ensure we keep up the pressure and the focus to bounce back next week,” said Vettel.

I think we have a very strong car and that's been proven again in Germany, even though I think Ferrari made a step forward and they like this circuit a lot and its characteristic. We were able to fight them, and although maybe it wasn't good enough we were better than all the rest, so it was a good achievement.”

Vettel was a pole sitter in the German Grand Prix, yet he finished the race in 3rd place after being overtaken by both Ferrari drivers at the start. His podium finish brought him level on points with teammate Mark Webber, 21 points behind leader Lewis Hamilton and 13 points ahead of Fernando Alonso.
