Vega Helmets has announced the Stealth F117 full-face helmet family, with three options available: solid color, graphics or clear coated carbon fiber. If a lightweight full-face affordable carbon lid was on your shopping list, that’s most likely the move you’ve been waiting for.
The carbon version tips the scales at 1,200 grams (2.65 lbs), while the standard version weighs in at 1,450 grams (3.2 lbs). Both shells have been CAD-designed and Vega says buffeting was significantly reduced for a quieter ride. All the F117 helmets come with Coolmax anti-microbial lining which is fully-removable and washable. The cheek pads are ready for the installation of the Easy-Com intercom system, as well.
3-stage adjustable venting and dual rear extractor ports ensure good heat dispersion and moisture wicking when riding in hot weather. The visor is replaceable and has various options, such as Smoke, Dark Smoke, Amber or Silver Mirror on Smoke. The drop-down face shield has a 6 position design for increased convenience.
This lid is available in sizes 2XS through 3XL, with both DOT and ECE certifications. The Stealth F117 is available in solid Gloss Black, Flat Black and Silver, plus graphic options in Neon Red, Neon Orange, Neon Green, Bright Blue and Hot Pink, with a $169.99 (€122) price tag for the solid versions, $189.99 (€136) for the graphics ones and a really cool price of $349.99 (€251) for the carbon version.
