Vauxhall Launches New Minibus and Combi Variants for Movano

Vauxhall has added three new factory-built derivatives of the 2011 Movano range with the addition of a 17-seater Minibus and 6- and 9-seater Combis. Let’s start with the Minibus, which the Luton-based carmaker says provides ample accommodation for 17 people with optimum access and comfort making it ideal for schools, colleges and care homes.

The layout features offset double seats on one side of the aisle with adjacent single seats. The last two rows of seats can also be specified with optional floor-mounted fixing rails enabling easy removal and freeing additional load area space quickly.

Standard features include overhead coat racks, sliding rear side window, walk-way illumination, standard electrically operated retracting side step, individual down-lighting for every seat and the availability of air conditioning and individual and optional aircraft-style ventilation nozzles.

The new Movano Minibus is powered by a Euro 5-compliant 2.3CDTi engine, available with either manual or Tecshift transmission.  Vauxhall’s Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with traction control also comes as standard.

Providing more luggage space is the new Movano Combi that has been announced is available in two variants: L1H1 6-Seater and L2H2 9-Seater.

With its dual front passengers’ bench seat, rear bench seat for three passengers and single sliding door on the nearside, the 6-Seater Combi provides comfortable and accessible seating for all six occupants, while the 9-Seater Combi features a dual front passengers’ bench seat plus second and third row rear bench seats.

Standard features include a dual front passenger bench seat, rear bench seat for three passengers (6-Seater), two rear bench seats for six passengers (9-Seater) and load restraint lashing eyes for the load area.

Movano Combi prices start from £28,665 on-the-road including VAT. Prices for the Movano Minibus start at £29,798.33 excluding VAT.
