Vauxhall has created three bespoke vehicles for this year’s Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club, offering us a preview of the cars.

The event, which will take place in East London, is Vauxhall’s original bowling club, which was opened back in 1905.

For one day only, Vauxhall Motors is re-opening its original bowling club, which started more than a century ago in 1905. The Brick Lane location in London will this week undergo a major transformation into a professional standard bowling green. Guests will be greeted by a multi-coloured club house, psychedelic English garden flowers, picnic food, ice cream, celebrity host Rick Edwards (T4), DJing by Matt Horne and Toddla T, and live music from Man Like Me,” stated the press release.

The special vehicles that will be showcased on the day will include a New Astra, which has been transformed by illustrator Jamie Cullum (who has also designed the event’s logo), a grass image covered Corsa (this will house the event’s scoreboard) and a convertible Astra Twintop, which is the carmaker’s streamlined version of the classic ice cream van.

Jamie Cullum has been added to the recent list of high profile designers (including Emma Bell, Kate Moross and Si Scott) to customise the Griffin logo and a car for one of Vauxhall’s stylish events. Well known for his bright and bold designs which incorporate layers of visual discovery with emerging hidden elements, Jamie has created the ultimate retro-inspired event crest for the Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club,” stated the press release.

Vauxhall is also offering free tickets for the event on-line. If you feel like attending, you can browse the automaker’s website and apply for a ticket by following this link.
