Remember the good old days when the most distracting thing a man woman could do at the wheel was applying some mascara or lipstick? Oooh, people were furious about such reckless behavior, weren't they? Well, imagine for a second they saw what you are about to see.
After the few minutes necessary to explain to them what a laptop is, they would probably want to murder that guy. As if driving wasn't dangerous enough these days with the more readily accessible fast vehicles and the ever busier streets, some people feel they gain extra points for complicating things even further.

We've all driven on highways and watched mile after mile of asphalt go under our vehicles, feeling boredom creeping and wishing we'd be somewhere else, doing something else, but we struggled to remain focused, because that's what responsible people do. Others, though, they have different priorities.

They're the ones who can't wait for autonomous cars to become mainstream, and this impatience can sometimes get the better of them. They think that driving on the freeway is something that can be done in the background, with minimum resources like the peripheral vision and a fraction of brain power, while the rest is focused on a computer screen showing who knows what.

We've all heard the initial reports saying the Tesla Model S driver who was killed in that Florida accident in May had a DVD player running, even though the official investigation failed to confirm whether it was running or not at the time of impact. But after seeing this, it's easy to imagine how somebody with access to semi-autonomous features - ones he has seen at work countless times before - could relax enough to take his eyes off the road completely and watch a movie.

The man who captured this footage - you can hear his outrage in the audio - says he's sent the video to the police, yet there's no information on whether he is being investigated or not. But we'd like to hear what you think: should he face charges for reckless driving, or do you feel this clip isn't that relevant?
