Valentino Rossi is not only a top-notch MotoGP rider and multiple world champion: he's also a keen and skilled car racer and he has just finished second in this year's traditional Monza Rally Show.
Rossi has won at the Monza Rally Show on no less than 4 occasions, but this was not his year. Citroen World Rally Championship pilot Dani Sordo was the fastest, with a 10.6 second margin over the Yamaha Racing team star.
The 9-time World Champion drove a Ford Fiesta RS WRC during the 9 asphalt stages, with Carlo Cassina as a co-driver. Rossi also finished second to Sordo in the Master Show knock-out tournament, with Rinaldo "Dindo" Capello (Citroen) in third.
So it looks like Rossi is able to have plenty of high-speed fun no matter when, no matter where, on two or four wheels. So much more than a motorcycle star...
