It's almost heartbreaking to see how an owner could so easily give up on the spotless superyacht that was built and customized according to their wishes. Still, that's how things work in this world of luxury, where people go from one multi-million-dollar boat to the next without blinking. This is an incredibly dynamic market, which is also why the stunning Chapter 3 didn't have to wait too long for its new owner.
While the beginning of the COVID-19 era was giving most of us serious anxiety, some folks were casually searching for their next luxury toy. That's when the future owner of Chapter 3 first spotted the Numarine superyacht that was nearing completion, which meant there would be significantly less waiting time while also allowing ample customization.

Like most superyacht owners, this US entrepreneur had ample experience with all kinds of boats and gradually went for bigger and more luxurious options. When Chapter 3 hit the water, he even owned another luxury superyacht, Seven Diamonds, at the same time. Chapter 3 was a special boat, and that was a special sale.

First of all, this was only the second unit in Numarine's 37XP Series. Secondly, it was one of the very few from this brand sold to an American customer. Numarine is a relatively young Turkish shipyard that mainly caters to the European market, while US superyacht owners statistically tend to go for either American-made yachts or the top Northern European shipyards. It was, therefore, an unusual sale based heavily on the owner's good collaboration with Numarine's founders.

In 2022, the dazzling Chapter 3, with a striking blue hull, traveled all the way from Turkey to the Cannes Yachting Festival for its official debut before being delivered to its owner. Less than two years later, it has already changed ownership, despite the original owner's glowing reviews. In an interview with Numarine Insight, the millionaire talked about how delightfully quiet Chapter 3 was compared to other boats and how comfortable it was with its lavish owner's suite on the bridge deck.

At the time of the sale, the Turkish-built yacht was said to be pristine, having never been chartered and only used lightly with family and friends, and was asking for $16.3 million.

A visually striking pleasure craft, Chapter 3 is a real treat for those who love blue and maritime themes. At 121 feet (36.8 meters), it boasts a generous volume, matched by heavy-duty fuel capacity. It can accommodate up to 14 guests in six spacious cabins that include a fabulous owner's suite on the bridge deck and a VIP suite on the main deck. The lower deck is dedicated to a gorgeous onboard cinema.

Powered by two CAT-MAN engines, the 37XP Series superyachts were designed to cover distances of up to 6,000 miles at minimum speed in maximum comfort. They were designed by Can Yalman, with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini.
