Ducati is happy to announce that US motorcycle sales in 2012 have increased significantly compared to 2011 Q3.
Ducati North America report that Q3 has registered a very pleasing 24% increase in motorcycle sales, following the optimist trend set by the prior 8 quarters with retail sales growing. Cristiano Silei, Ducati North America's CEO believes that the present bike assortment presented to the US market is one of the “most appealing product offering in the brand's history”.

Sales growth have certainly been boosted by the massive demand for the newly released Ducati superbike, the acclaimed 1199 Panigale, the current leading motorcycle in the power-to-weight ratio charts, and a overall surprisingly capable machine.

Yet, the star of the sales increase is the Ducati Diavel, reporting a mind-blowing 66 percent increase compared to the same period in 2011. It looks like the Italian design, racing heritage and brute, unforgiving performance of the Diavel appeal to more and more bikers looking for a zero-compromise power-cruiser screaming style and attitude.

The future is bright for Ducati, despite the fears of becoming a rather dull presence in the bike world after being bought by Audi.
