Early 1970s Plymouth Cudas are not exactly rare, although a nicely preserved one could put a lot of pressure on your wallet. However, Hemi-powered Cudas are a different story, especially if they’re in pristine condition and unrestored like the 1971 orange and black hardtop version that’s depicted above.
One of only 108 Hemis with a hardtop built that year, this unrestored Plymouth Cuda will cross the block in January, during Mecum’s Kissimmee 2014 auction. The musclecar has only 22,000 original miles on the odometer and, matching numbers engine and an array of optional features.
It has leather bucket seats, power steering and brakes, power windows, California exhaust, Dana 60 4.10 rear Super Track Pack, Shaker hood and a rare Elastometric front bumper. It’s also one of only 59 Hemi Cudas fitted with a four-speed manual transmission and should find a new owner for more than just a few bucks.
The Kissimmee 2014 auction is scheduled between January 17 and 26 in Florida.
