If you’re into rare Cobra Jet-powered Ford Mustangs, then you should know that Mecum Auction is selling a very special musclecar during next week’s auction event in Kansas City.
We’re talking about a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Twister Special 428 Cobra Jet that has only 9,365 original miles on its odometer and wears a stunning Grabber Orange exterior paint. One of only 48 Twister Specials built with a 428 Cobra Jet engine, this almost new pony was made exclusively for Ford Kansas City sales district dealers.

Built in late 1969, it features a factory drag-pack options, a C6 automatic, power front disk brakes, AM radio, tinted glass, 3:91 traction-lok rear axle, and Magnum 500 wheels. Documented with Marti Report, this Mustang was driven for only 698 miles since 1993. A stunning collectors’ piece that should change ownership for over $150,000.
