Caught under an avalanched of electric cars launched by established carmakers, we sometimes tend to forget EVs came to be at the initiative of lesser companies, startups that for better or worse shaped the mobility of the future. Luckily, vehicles like the Uniti One are still here to open our eyes.
Uniti is a Swedish company that set out to create an urban electric car back in the day when Volkswagen and the likes were still debating whether EVs are a good idea or not. In 2017, Uniti presented the One, a three-seater electric car meant to be used in crowded urban areas.

It took the Swedes quite some time to get from that point to the actual launch of the car, but they nearly made it. In the early months of 2020, the car will hit the road, at first in northern Europe and the UK. But before then, people need the configurator up and running,

And it is. Uniti announced this week potential buyers could check out their dream car on the specially created website, and if convinced, they can even pre-order the One. And cheap.

The Uniti One is among the lowest-priced EVs on the market, at least in the UK. For just £15,100, government subsidy included, customers can buy a car that comes with two battery options and a range that can reach as much as 300 km (186 miles). Performance-wise, the car can reach 62 mph in 9.9 seconds and tops at 120 km/h (75 mph).

But those are just numbers, and the Uniti One has a lot more than that to offer. The car can transport three adults, the driver in the front, and the two passengers in the rear. Despite its size, the Uniti can transport up to 155 liters of cargo in the rear, or up to 760 liters with the rear bench folded flat.

Full details on this Scandinavian-wonder car can be found in the document attached below.
