The Arab world is not renowned for building the world's greatest cars, and in fact they do a lot more buying, than actual building. So when we heard about Qatar-based W Motors' plan to build a $3.4 million ultra exclusive supercar, we were a bit skeptical.
However, after doing a bit more reading, we discovered that the W Motors LykanHypersport actually has a lot of substance to it. Apparently, the car has been in development for six years now, and W Motors has asked many much more experienced companies to do some of the development work for them.

Companies like RUF Automobile, Viotti, Studiotorino and Magna Steyr all contributed to the development of the car, so it should be good.

Powering the new supercar will be a Porsche-derived flat-six motor, which reportedly makes 750 hp and 1000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. With such an impressive power output, the car can reportedly do 0-100 km/h or 0-62 mph two tenths under three seconds, and has a top speed of 387 km/h, or 242 mph.

To lessen the blow of the aforementioned price tag, the car also comes with a unique, Special Edition Cyrus Klepcys watch, which is worth some $200,000 by itself.

The car will make its official debut at the 2013 Quatar Motor Show, which begins on January 29.
