Maserati have just announced their partnership with British company ‘Benfield’, one of the largest showroom operators in the country, to create the first dedicated showroom for the famed Italian marque. Maserati will be the 13th brand sold in the UK by Benfield - their experience and widespread reach were definitely two of the reasons they were chosen.
The dedicated dealership is located in Newcastle, on Warwick St., and it is open as of today. The move seems to have greatly pleased Giulio Pastore, Managing Director of Maserati Europe, who was quoted saying “We are delighted by the opportunity to work with such a highly regarded local business, a business that has a significant and long standing presence in the local community of Newcastle upon Tyne. We are certain that, in partnership, we will be able to establish a highly effective local Maserati brand presence.”
However, a general feeling of pride and accomplishment could also be felt in the words of Nigel McMinn, Benfield Motor Group Managing Director, who said “To be chosen by Maserati to operate their first solus UK dealership is a great privilege for a family business like Benfield. This announcement represents another exciting step forward in the development of our group and first venture into prestige marques. Maserati make beautifully engineered, exciting motor cars and the brand will certainly bring a genuine glamour and excitement to our growing portfolio.
