Poking a bit of fun is always a good idea, if it is innocent fun, and if the recipients are some French cops, aboard a Peugeot 308 squad car, it`s even more fun!
While attending the LeWeb 2012 Conference, held in Paris, the crew from Team Black Sheep (TBS) decided to take their quadcopter for a spin. The actual vehicle looked to be quite high-tech, and it seemed very easy to control - this was further aided by the fact that it also sent back a live video feed, allowing the operator to control it with inch-perfect precision, even at great distances.
One of the TBS crew decided to troll the aforementioned squad car, and the UAV (unmanned arial vehicle) is flown directly overhead, much to the surprise of the cops, who stop the car to investigate. However, this is the cue which triggers a fear response, and the vehicle is immediately flown back.
Also, the ease with which the vehicle is controlled as well as the excellent quality of the video feed show us just how much projects like this, built with off the shelf components, have progressed in recent years - just think what sort of tech the military have at their disposal...
