Meet the Tushek Aeon. If you have never heard of it, it's alright, we'll fill you in. It comes all the way from Slovenia, it's got 2,500 horsepower and weighs around 3,500 pounds. But what do these figures actually mean in terms of performance?
Slovenia is surely not the first local car industry that comes to your mind when you think about hypercars. Yet, we learn new things every day. Now, Slovenian carmaker Tushek comes up with the Aeon and offers it in two variants. One is the Aeon E, and it is electric. The other one is the Aeon H, and it is a plug-in hybrid. Both of them are super light and sport an impressive power-to-weight ratio.

The all-electric AEON E comes with 2,500 horsepower (2,535 PS), but details about the powertrain are scarce for the moment. What we do know is that this variant weighs 3,527 pounds (1,600 kilograms). That translates into a jaw-dropping power-to-weight ratio of only 1.7:1.

Meanwhile, the Tushek Aeon H is powered by a V8 engine that works alongside an electric motor in a plug-in hybrid setup for a total of 1,930 horsepower (1,957 PS). It does come with inferior output compared to the electric Aeon E, but the power-to-weight ratio is even better, at 1.3:1, because this one only weighs 3,263 pounds (1,480 kilograms).

There is no word on the performance of either the electric or plug-in hybrid Aeon, but the 0 to 60 mph run (0-97 kph) should be below 2.0 seconds, considering all these figures, with a top speed exceeding the 230 mph (370 kph) mark. It's not like they haven't done it before.

Tushek pledges a fully customized experience for each of the future owners, as the company claims to put "personalization at the forefront." Each car will be tailored according to the requirements of the buyer "to create an unparalleled bond" between them and the vehicle, the carmaker promises. They explain that the one who specs the car will be able to fully customize the exterior as well as the interior of the hypercar and make sure the model they take home is truly unique.

We are to find out more on specs and pricing closer to the market launch date. The Aeon is not the first model of the Slovenian company. The TS 900 was unveiled at the Salon Prive in the UK, back in 2019. It came with a 4.2-liter V8 and two electric motors for a total system output of 950 horsepower (963 PS) and 1,032 lb-ft (1,400 Nm) of torque.

It only weighed 3,108 pounds (1,410 kilograms), could hit a top speed of 236 mph (380 kph), and took 2.5 seconds to run from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 kph). But it all started with the Tushek Renovatio T500 back in 2012. The car came with a modest 444 horsepower (450 PS), generated by an Audi RS4-sourced 4.2-liter V8 engine. But obviously, Tushek was not going to stop there and would end up developing their own powetrains.

Tushek is the project of former racing driver Aljosa Tushek, now founder and CEO of the company with gigantic plans. That explains the motto of the company: "At heart we are racers." The 58-year old believes that the all-new Aeon that his brand rolls out will not only compete but 'dominate' the segment. Koenigsegg, beware!
