The Turkish F1 Grand Prix, held around the Herman Tilke-designed circuit in Istanbul has been one of the more enjoyable ones, at least for the drivers who were very pleased with its layout. Despite the lack of fans, the Turkish GP ran from 2005 to 2011 when it was finally withdrawn from the calendar.
Now, however, Bernie Ecclestone has announced that the teams, as well as the FIA, would be happy to return to Turkey. He went on to say that “if we can solve this (fee) problem, Turkey can return to the F1 calendar." Furthermore, along with Turkey, Greece could also be included in the F1 calendar, with what sounds like a very interesting street course around the capital, Athens.

The Greeks would greatly benefit from this influx of cash and tourists and it would go a long way to helping them at least try to recover from the difficult economical conundrums they are facing.
