Maintaining a safe distance to the car in front is very important on any sort of road, but on the highway, it is more than important - it is crucial. If you don`t keep a steady distance between you and the car in front, even at the slightest hint of braking, you risk a serious accident.
This video shows a truck, fully-laden with what appear to be timber sheets, which fails to brake in time, while on a highway, and it ploughs into the back of a smaller and lighter truck, which it shreds to pieces.
