Introduced back in 2002 as a replacement for the Tercel/Soluna subcompact, the Toyota Vios is pretty much what South East Asia, China and Taiwan get between the Corolla and the Camry.
The Toyota Vios is quite popular in the ASEAN region, so how about if the Japanese automaker decides to revive the compact utility segment with this Yaris/Vitz-based sedan? Well, it’s not up to us to decide, but automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin just rendered the Vios with a more utilitarian bed at the back.
And if you ask us, it wouldn’t be a bad idea since Thailand is one of the world’s biggest pickup market. However, the price must be right, so to speak, and the Vios needs to cope with a lot of weight and thousands of kilometers of bumpy roads.
