Every automaker has a couple of employees that have nothing better to do than to promote their brand on Facebook, Twitter or Google+. Today, Toyota’s social media savvy workers were probably ecstatic, as the Toyota USA has topped 1 million Facebook likes.
To put that into perspective, about 14,000 people are talking about the Corolla or Camry as we speak.

Facebook adds and promotion might not yet be as well targeted as it should be, but having a strong community of fans and followers is always a good thing. Now all they need is some more performance models and a revival of the Supra!

"Our fans helped us make Toyota’s Facebook page what it is today," commented Dave Nordstrom, Toyota USA vice president digital marketing. "We’re celebrating this milestone on one of the world’s largest social media channels by spotlighting our fans that got us here."

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
