Toyota Motor Sales US has released its October 2013 sales reports, registering 146,257 units sold, representing a 4.8 percent increase over the same month last year.
“Consumers showed resiliency in October with steady auto sales despite headwinds caused by the government shutdown,” said Bill Fay, Toyota division group vice president and general manager. “The growth in the auto industry continues to play a leading role in the economic recovery, and Toyota is on track for a strong close to the year.”

Best-selling October model remains the Camry sedan, sold in about 30,000 units, followed by the all-new Corolla with 23,637. The 2014 RAV4 achieved its best October ever, with a 60.8 percent sales increase while the pickup division posted sales of more than 22,000 units, with the new Tundra model going up by 23 percent.
