When amateurs think of the Back to the Future movies, the all know the tricked-out DeLorean DMC-12 unmistakably pops into mind. However, those with a little bit more consideration for the series’ fleet will also remember the manly jacked-up Toyota SR5 4x4 (Hilux) pickup drove by Marty McFly.
That’s gotta have some fans too, right? Well it has. And if we showed you last year a pretty good replica being on sale, we now present its miniature versions made out of... you guessed - LEGO.
The man responsible for this beautiful piece of work is Paul Kim, a guy who really knows his way around with LEGO bits and bobs as his flickr account proves.
As you can see, the high-fidelity model has been built using a lot of small blocks and comes with features like opening doors, hood and tailgate, a roll bar, the extra yellow lights, bull bar, detailed engine bay, separate chassis and yes, a working suspension.
Speaking about the engine bay, take notice how the plucky four-cylinder engine got replaced by one looking like the LT1 small-block V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette.
The artist hasn’t released a detailed building guide for this Toyota pickup, but with a bit of luck, this could come as an official LEGO kit.
