Apart from the 400,000 vehicles recalled in Saudi Arabia, Toyota will call back another 240,000 vehicles worldwide over braking issues.
Toyota Motor Corp. recently announced a recall involving around 242,000 Prius and Lexus hybrid cars, over some problems with the braking system.

It appears that some brake pressure parts could crack due to vibrations, making the braking system less responsive. There are about 242,000 Prius made between March and October 2009 affected worldwide and around 9,000 Lexus HS 250h manufactured between June and October 2009 sold in US and Japan.

There is no further information regarding the recall at the moment. Owners will probably be notified via first class mail to take their vehicle to the nearest dealership and have the problematic parts changed free of charge.
